Mahogany barometers
Mahogany barometers - mahogany is one of the toughest most attractive woods and makes an ideal material for barometer construction. A barometer is commonly used for weather prediction, because high air pressure indicates fair weather and low pressure indicates that more stormy weather is more likely. Barometer accuracy is increased with wind speed estimates.
